Six Objectives Driving EnerTransEdu
The green transition needs more than new technology—it needs people with the skills to design, install, and maintain clean energy systems. EnerTransEdu was built to close that gap in Malta and Türkiye, where a fast-growing renewable energy sector is outpacing the vocational training available to support it.
Our work is guided by six clear objectives.
1. Promote knowledge of sustainable practices. We're producing a joint report on renewable energy trends across solar, wind, biogas, and hydropower—a shared knowledge base for learners and professionals in both countries.
2. Design a market-oriented VET curriculum. Combining Malta's energy innovation ecosystem with Türkiye's academic research capacity, we're co-developing modular training that addresses real labour-market needs, from smart grids to carbon neutrality planning.
3. Upskill educators and professionals. Through hands-on workshops, webinars, and exchanges, we're strengthening the technical and teaching skills of trainers so they can deliver future-proof, green-ready training.
4. Build cross-country collaboration. Malta's island perspective and Türkiye's diverse geography bring complementary expertise, letting us develop VET solutions that work in different contexts and carry European relevance.
5. Raise awareness of renewable energy's value. An open-access online platform and multi-channel campaign will engage learners, the public, and industry—promoting the role of vocational training in climate action.
6. Provide policy-relevant insights. Using case studies and impact assessments, we'll show how targeted training reduces the sector's carbon footprint, sharing findings with decision-makers to support green VET reforms.
Together, these objectives make EnerTransEdu a bridge—between education and industry, between Malta and Türkiye, and between today's training systems and the green skills a climate-neutral future demands.
