EnerTransEdu Kicks Off in Çanakkale
On 8–9 April 2026, the EnerTransEdu partnership held its first Transnational Project Meeting at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in Türkiye. Colleagues from ÇOMÜ and Hive Ventures came together face-to-face to turn the project's ambitions into a concrete plan of action—and left with clear roles, deadlines, and shared momentum.
The meeting opened with a presentation on the project's background, objectives, and framework, followed by agreement on how the partnership will work day to day. A centralized shared drive will keep all documents in one place, coordinated by Hive Ventures.
Much of the two days focused on our first big deliverable: the Sector Report on sustainable practices in renewable energy. Partners finalized its seven chapters—from the energy sector's environmental footprint to renewable technologies, efficiency, infrastructure, low-carbon transport, emissions reduction, and workforce engagement. The Turkish and Maltese teams will each gather national data, then merge their findings into a single unified report.
The partnership also mapped out the training curriculum, agreeing on ten modules covering carbon footprint measurement, renewable technologies, energy efficiency, circular economy, emission reduction, low-carbon transport, and more. Lead responsibilities were shared between Malta and Türkiye to draw on each team's strengths, with all content built around a learner-centred approach and hosted on Malta's e-learning platform.
On visibility, the team selected the official project logo (designed by the Turkish partners) and planned the website—complete with a "Footprint Calculator"—alongside social media, radio outreach, infographics, and a short documentary.
We closed by looking ahead: the second Transnational Project Meeting will take place in Malta on 7–10 September 2026.
