The motivation behind EnerTransEdu arises from the urgent need to accelerate the green transition by building a workforce equipped with the skills required in the renewable energy sector.

Both Malta and Türkiye face pressing climate and energy challenges that demand immediate action—not only through policy reform and infrastructure investment, but also through education and skills development.

What We Will Do

The renewable energy sector, while expanding rapidly, is currently constrained by a shortage of trained professionals who can design, install, maintain, and manage clean energy systems. This project seeks to address that gap by aligning vocational training systems in both countries with the realities of the energy transition through a series of specific activities.

  • A comprehensive report on sustainable practices in the renewable energy sector will be compiled, directly supporting the project’s aim of strengthening vocational training, and contributing to the green transition in Malta and Turkey.

  • This will focus on the development of curriculum materials and educational resources that equip learners and professionals with practical skills for advancing sustainability in the energy sector.

  • A series of training sessions, seminars, and workshops will be organized with the participation of the following groups:

    1. Educators and Trainers:

    2. Policymakers and Authorities

    3. Researchers and Academics

    4. Non-Governmental and Environmental Organizations

    5. General Public

  • An interactive and user-friendly hub dedicated to sustainable practices in the renewable energy sector will be established. The platform will serve as a central tool for knowledge-sharing, training, and awareness raising.

  • This will focus on promoting sustainable energy practices through multiple communication channels, including social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as webinars and public events. Project partners will also collaborate with local communities, vocational schools, and universities in Malta and Turkey to organize awareness-raising workshops and seminars on the role of renewable energy in addressing climate change.
